Our first highlight is the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can see rhinos in the wild. Here, you’ll set out on foot with experienced rangers to track these powerful yet peaceful creatures. Extinct in Uganda for decades, the southern white rhino is slowly making a comeback thanks to the sanctuary’s incredible work, which began in 2005. You’ll learn about the rhino reintroduction program, the challenges faced, and the hopeful future these animals now have—a deeply moving conservation story. After the walk, we set off to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest protected area. We stop for a visit to the top of Murchison Falls, where the mighty Nile is funneled through a narrow 7-meter gorge and plunges 40 meters into a thunderous cascade below. This is one of Africa’s most powerful natural spectacles. Feel the ground tremble beneath your feet, watch rainbows dance in the mist, and take in the thunderous roar—an unforgettable moment of connection to the raw pulse of the planet. From here, we make our way to Pakuba Safari Lodge with lunch enroute in paraa area, we shall proceed and do an evening safari before getting to our lodge arriving later in the evening in a serene retreat nestled within the wilderness of the park. Set on the eastern bank of the Nile, the lodge offers a luxurious way to connect with the surrounding ecosystem. More than just a place to stay, Pakuba embodies a deep commitment to sustainability and local empowerment. The lodge harnesses solar energy, draws water responsibly from underground wells, and uses eco-conscious materials that blend seamlessly into the environment. Day 4: Dawn on the Savannah & the River of Life
Today is all about soaking in the richness of Murchison’s wilderness—its golden savannahs, its river lifeblood, and the incredible wildlife that roams freely within. The day begins with an early rise and breakfast at the lodge, ready to depart by 6:30 a.m. for a morning game drive on the northern bank of the Nile. This is when the park is most alive, with soft morning light blanketing the landscape and predators still on the move from their nighttime hunts. Keep your camera ready and your eyes sharp for elephants lumbering across the plains, graceful giraffes browsing in the treetops, lions lounging on termite mounds, skittish antelope bounding through the grass, and—if luck is on our side—a leopard slinking through the brush or a pack of hyenas scavenging along the fringes. Halfway through our adventure, we pause for a special bush breakfast, surrounded by nature’s soundtrack. It's a chance to sip coffee or tea and enjoy fresh Ugandan fare while immersed in the stillness and beauty of the park. Late morning after breakfast ,we head to the water for an exclusive boat safari up the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls. This part of the journey offers a unique perspective of the park’s ecosystems. As we cruise upstream, look for pods of hippos bobbing in the shallows, Nile crocodiles sunning themselves on sandbanks, and a variety of birds from African fish eagles and bee-eaters to herons, kingfishers, and more. The Nile here teems with life, and you’re right in the middle of it. Approaching the base of the falls, the river narrows and the current quickens—soon you’re gazing up at the churning, explosive point where the world’s longest riveris forced through a rock cleft with an astonishing power. The spray kisses your skin, and the sound reverberates in your chest. It’s a wild, humbling moment, and a highlight of any Ugandan journey. After the boat, we return to Pakuba Safari Lodge for a late lunch and a relaxed afternoon. Take a refreshing dip in the lodge’s pool, enjoy a drink while watching animals graze in the distance, or simply rest and soak in the rhythm of the bush. The landscape is never still— Uganda’s untamed north has a way of seeping into your soul.

By mid afternoon, the forested slopes of Kibale National Park come into view, home to one of the richest ecosystems on the continent and the highest density of primates in Africa.
