Description
Kibale Forest National Park is located in western Uganda and is one of Africa’s Surviving rain-forests ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kibale_National_Park ). Gazetted in 1932 and formally established in 1993 to protect a large area of forest previously managed as a logged forest reserve. The park is home to up to 13 primate species, among which are the Chimpanzees. These share up to 98% of human DNA.
The other wildlife species here include; 70 species of mammals as well as over 375 bird species. Chimpanzee tracking through the forest and birding in Bigodi wetland, are the major activities here.
The safari caters for Full Board accommodation, Chimp tracking permit, transportation, English speaking tour guide/driver, all tour activities, drinking water and photography.
3 DAYS UGANDA CHIMPANZEE TREKKING
DAY 01: TRANSFER TO KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
Wake up early enough to have breakfast. Meet with Driver/Guide for briefing about the Safari and there after rive to the Western part of Uganda to Kibale National Park.
Lunch shall be served en’route, visiting tea plantations and crater lakes in Kabarole District. You will then aim for the Park and check in at chosen lodge.
There is an optional nature walk in the evening, to glance at various wildlife species. Have Dinner and Overnight in preparation for Chimpanzee tracking the next day.

DAY 02: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING & BIGODI WETLAND WALK
After a tasty breakfast, prepare for a drive to the park information Center for briefing, about the do’s and don’ts while for trekking chimpanzees. Next, you embark on an unforgettable experience of tracking Man’s closest Relative-Chimpanzee.
Trekking usually lasts 2 to 6 hours basing on the location of chimpanzees, however in the course of tracking, you shall glance at bird and monkey species such as; the black and white colobus, grey cheeked Mangabey, golden monkeys and various trees species as you walk through the forest.
After spending an amazing time with the chimpanzees, you will return to the lodge for lunch. The Driver/Guide will take you on birding experience and nature walk in Bigodi wetland.
Here you will view more primates like the Red tailed monkeys, baboons, bush pigs, LHoests Monkeys, otters and others as well as bird species like the great blue Turaco.
You will also meet some old people who live in that community together with school going children. At the end of the day you would have received a great African experience since you will see how the people live, do their day to day activities among other things.
Head back to the lodge, have Dinner & Overnight.

DAY 3: DEPARTURE- TO KAMPALA
A tasty morning breakfast shall be served, followed by the journey back to Kampala. Remember carry packed lunch from the lodge. You shall reach Kampala in the evening.
